Thomas Bryant, a former centre for the Washington Wizards, has been signed by the Los Angeles Lakers to a one-year agreement

Bryant has a chance to secure the starting centre position

Damian Jones, who the Lakers acquired from the Sacramento Kings, is his sole rival if Anthony Davis spends the majority of his minutes at power forward.

Jones stayed in Los Angeles for a considerable time during 2020–21 season

The Lakers selected Bryant in the second round of the 2017 preseason.

He ended up thriving while playing for the Washington Wizards

Thomas scored an average of 11.6 points in his first 118 games as a wizard, shooting 60 percent from the field and just under 37 percent from across the arc.

Bryant's risk  is torn of the cruciate ligament during the 2020/21 season.

Last year, he played only  27 games  and struggled to secure a consistent location for rotation behind Kristaps Porzingis, Daniel Gafford and Montrezl Harrell.

Entering the 2022–23 season, the former Indiana Hoosier could be an interesting possibility for a comeback.
