Ghana has confirmed its first two cases of Marburg Virus

World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed the case of Marburg

Marburg virus is a highly contagious viral haemorrhagic fever as per WHO

The illness started suddenly, with high fevers, terrible headaches and malaise

The WHO also declared that without decisive action, Marburg could easily spread out of control

This virus is transmitted to humans from fruit bats 

Marburg can be spread through direct contact with the bodily fluids of infected people

This virus spread also from surfaces and materials contaminated with these fluids, WHO explained

No other cases of this virus have been confirmed by Guinean health authorities
